Marjorie Sheiman, alto, is from the Pacific Northwest and passionate about exploring all that classical music has to offer. She graduated in 2024 with a double degree: a Master of Music in Voice Performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management from the Johns Hopkins Krieger School of Arts & Sciences, where she studied under William Sharp. During her time at Peabody, Ms. Sheiman received second place in the 2022 Art Song Competition (Graduate Division), was the alto soloist in Mozart’s Requiem and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, and starred as Maurya in Vaughan Williams’ Riders to the Sea.
