Help Us Make Great Music in Great Spaces
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
For 36 years, Bach in Baltimore has fulfilled its mission to make our community more vibrant by providing outstanding musical performances and education at affordable prices through our First Sunday & Beyond Bach Concert Series. In addition to our ticketed public concerts:
- We perform each season free concerts for seniors living in nursing or assisted living communities, and we offer at least one free community concert a season as part of “Free Fall Baltimore.”
- Our Student Voice Exchange program invites school and university choirs to perform live with Bach in Baltimore and offers the singular opportunity to work directly with Maestro Dimmock.
- Our Emerging Artists Program selects each season budding young talents to perform with us and thereby gain experience to help build their resume.
Our ticket sales cover only 30% of our programming expenses, and even though we have incredible volunteers and the lowest administrative cost possible (only 7%), we cannot provide these exceptional programs without the generosity of our donors, advertisers, and other supporters.
To keep the music flowing and our ticket prices down while being able to hire the best musical talents for each concert, we must raise $150,000/year for the next 7 years. Please consider a gift to Bach in Baltimore so we can keep bringing outstanding Baroque musical performances and educational programs to our community for years to come.
Help us reach our goal
Learn about our three distinct areas of need by clicking the tabs at the top of this page:
Annual Fund
T. Herbert Dimmock Fund
Permanent Endowment Fund
Bach in Baltimore is a tax-exempt organization, so your charitable gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Tax ID: 26-4390379
Gifts in any amount are welcome by cash, check, online donation, or appreciated stock. You can even become a Sustaining Member by pledging a monthly donation to Bach in Baltimore.
Our goal is to raise $30,000 each year. Will you help us reach this goal?
Managed similarly to an endowment, the principal is securely invested but available to the organization in the event of an emergency (such as the past pandemic). The funds interest distributions are made available to the Music Director each year for special projects of his choosing. The greater the principal of the fund, the greater the annual distributions – and the more significant the projects our maestro can launch each season!
Our objective is to raise $60,000 each year to supplement our annual budget and initiate new projects determined each season by our Maestro. Help us reach our goal by donating generously.
Tax ID: 26-4390379
Our Permanent Endowment Fund is held at the Baltimore Community Foundation to ensure your gift is always respected. The more our Endowment Fund grows the greater each annual distribution will help pay for our programming and most importantly cover the talent costs for each season AND allow us to keep our ticket costs down.
Today our Permanent Endowment Fund stands at just over $300,000. To help secure our future we need to see our Permanent Endowment Fund grow to $800,000 at which time the annual interest distributions will cover 30% of our season’s annual budget.
Our objective therefore is to raise $60,000 each year for the next 8 years, increasing our Endowment Fund by $480,000.
All endowment gifts are deposited at the Baltimore Community Foundation to assure with complete confidence that the intentions of your gift will always be honored.
Your Generosity will help us reach Our Goal
