This special tribute honors beloved Peabody professor and composer Elam Ray Sprenkle, featuring his moving work Go Down Death, inspired by James Weldon Johnson’s God’s Trombones. The program also includes Handel’s brilliant Organ Concerto in F Major with organist Lynn Trapp, Vivaldi’s exhilarating Winter from The Four Seasons, and Bach’s expressive Concerto for Oboe and Violin in C Minor—a memorable evening spanning centuries of musical inspiration.
