PERMANENT ENDOWMENT FUND

The Bach in Baltimore Permanent Endowment Fund was established in 2011 to support Bach in Baltimore’s ‘First Sunday’ Series. Endowment contributions uniquely support Bach in Baltimore musicians and concert programming, providing fiscal support far beyond the season in which the gifts are given. All endowment gifts are deposited at the Baltimore Community Foundation to assure with complete confidence that the intentions of your gift will always be honored.
In honor of reaching our 30th Anniversary Season this past year, we are looking to raise $30,000 this season to be put towards our Permanent Endowment Fund. $20,000 of this has already been generously donated by the Ensign C. Markland Kelly, Jr. Memorial Foundation. That means we are asking YOU, our loyal audience members and patrons, to help us cross the finish line with $10,000 in endowment contributions by the end of June 2019.

Your can contribute to our Permanent Endowment Fund in one of two ways:

1.  Memorialize a loved one with a named gift to our Permanent Endowment Fund. What tribute is lovelier than making something of great beauty that enriches an entire community in the name or memory of a loved one? All named gifts begin at $3,000 (see levels below), and will be recognized in Bach in Baltimore’s programs and website in perpetuity:

  • Member of the orchestra (one annual concert): $3,000
  • Concertmaster (for one annual concert): $4,000
  • A Soloist (for one annual concert–either singer, organ, or instrumental): $5,000
  • Solo quartet (for one annual concert): $16,000
  • Member of the orchestra (for the season): $25,000
  • Concertmaster (for the season): $35,000
  • Orchestra (for one annual concert): $35,000
  • A Soloist (for the season): $45,000
  • Rehearsal pianist (for season): $50,000
  • Enable a free concert of a Bach Cantata: $100,000
  • Administrator (part time): $125,000
  • Solo quartet (for the season): $145,000
  • Music Director (for season): $500,000

2.  Beginning this year, we are now accepting donations to the Permanent Endowment Fund in honor of “Bach in Baltimore Patrons!” This means that you can contribute to the endowment TODAY in whatever increment you are able. At the end of the season, all gifts will be collectively sent to the Baltimore Community Foundation in honor of “Bach in Baltimore Patrons” at the level of the total donations collected, allowing everyone the opportunity to participate in our campaign this season.
