T.J. Callahan uses historically informed performance practice as a lens to cast new light on vocal music from all eras. He sings in the critically-acclaimed Emmanuel Choir and has appeared as a soloist with Handel Choir Baltimore and Bach in Baltimore. T.J. is a dedicated ensemble singing specialist and a 2025–26 VOCES8 US Scholar. He performs regularly with premiere American vocal ensembles including the Byrd Ensemble, The Thirteen, and VAE Cincinnati, and locally with his chamber quartet Anchorites. T.J. holds a Master’s in Solo Voice Ensemble Singing from the University of York and a Master’s in Historical Performance from Peabody Conservatory.
